2010 Spring - American Samoa Disaster Rebuilding Project

After a devastating tsunami hit the Pacific island of American Samoa on Sept. 29, 2009, Brethren Disaster Ministries worked to help repair and rebuild some of the 227 homes destroyed, with the support of VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Brethren project leaders worked on the island with local workers and volunteers from March through August, 2010.
