Checking cotton plants in a trial field in North Korea

The Church of the Brethren's Global Food Crisis Fund provides grants for fertilizer and vegetable seeds to assist the four farm communities of 15,000 persons in North Korea. As a result, productivity on the farms has doubled. Shown here, a woman checks cotton plants in a cotton variety and plant density trial at Dobong-ri, part of the Ryongyon Farm Rehabilition Program.
